LYM'N
18'
Length
18' with 8' beam.

Although
Lym'n is a simple boat, safety, efficiency and seaworthiness factor
prominently in her form. The 21 cubic foot live tank can hold up to 1300
pounds of salt water and the circulation was intended to be accomplished
with either the forward movement of the boat or a bucket if adrift.
The 9.9 hp Yamaha outboard does have electric output so an electric
circulation pump can be added, although this increases the complexity.
Typically this hold should allow one to return home with 500 to 700
pounds of live cargo or perhaps more depending on specific requirements.
Lym'n
is a displacement vessel so her tanked speed is 5 knots. However, her
100 pounds per horsepower empty weight should give her a brisk departure
speed while her 4 cycle engine just sips fuel.

The
18 foot Lym'n is designed as a third world fishing skiff with a live
tank for keeping product alive and fresh for market. She is intended
to be a kit boat that would be simple to build under a palm tree, as
it were, with very limited tools and no electricity. The design reflects
the need to be as inexpensive as quality materials would allow.
